The LANscape® improved LANS patch-panel housing was developed for local area networks in 19” rack applications. This design allows configurations for different connectivity as pre-terminated assemblies, field termination, or pigtail splicing. Fiber and copper connectivity can be mixed within the same patch panel. The LANS empty patch-panel housing is available in either a 1U or 2U version, and is finished in black. The drawer, containing a patch panel and splice area, is slide -able and tilts down to provide easy access to the splice area. Angled cable entries are provided to allow the input of two cables at the rear of the housing, where a metric cable gland can be added for strain relief. Additional options are provided for break-out or Plug & Play™ trunk entry. The 1U and 2U housings come supplied with 24 x or 48 x blank modules, respectively (adapter modules can be ordered separately). They are available with optional pigtails and splice trays with either heat-shrink or crimp splice protectors. The LANS 1U housing can be ordered with a splice box of 4 x Standard splice trays, or 4 x MFT splice trays with a maximum capacity of 48 fibers (with LC Duplex).
